After a two-week break, the QMJHL pre-season has resumed, with teams icing rosters much closer to what you can expect on opening night.
NHL Futures Prospects Shine in Sags defeat of Océanic
The Chicoutimi Saguenéens lit up the Memorial Cup hosting Rimouski Océanic, with a final score of 5-2.
Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Masse picked up a couple of goals.
Alongside Masse, several 2025 NHL Draft eligibles ran up the box score, with a goal from centerman Emile Guite, a goal and an assist from defenseman Alex Huang and two assists from centerman Nathan Lecompte.
Huang, was recently highlighted as one of two QMJHLers to watch in the upcoming draft by fellow The Hockey News writer Tony Ferrari.

The Sea Dogs Sink Against The Eagles
The Cape Breton Eagles bested the Saint John Sea Dogs last night, with the game ending 10-1.
The entire team was firing on all cylinders as only five of the Eagles' skaters went point-less last night.
Players who had notably strong games included Emile Ricard who notched a hat-trick and an assist, 2024 QMJHL first rounder Romain L'Italien who picked up three assists and the recently acquired Noah Reinhart who marked two goals and an assist in his pre-season debut with the club.

The Streak Continues
Baie-Comeau came into today's pre-season game against the Quebec Remparts after having swept the Remparts 8-0 last season.
Well, you can add another tally as the Drakkar dominated the Remparts 7-2 yesterday afternoon.
Jules Boilard picked up five points (1+4), enough for the Player of the Night honours.
Pekarcik Has Arrived in Moncton (Literally and Figuratively)
The first overall pick of the 2023 CHL Import Draft, Juraj Pekarcik, made his mark in his QMJHL pre-season debut -- a 5-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads.
Pekarcik collected two goals and two assists, while being on the ice for all five on Moncton's goals.
