    #7 Shawinigan vs #2 Drummondville - 7 PM EST

The featured game of the night is the match-up between the reigning QMJHL champion Drummondville Voltigeurs against the visiting Shawinigan Cataractes.

This is the second meeting between these two teams, with the Voltigeurs taking both. In fact, the Cataractes have only beaten the Volts once since the commencement of last season.

The Volts have been equally as strong at home as on the road, boasting a 7-2-1 record for each -- but recently the team has picked up a couple more losses than usual, losing two of their last five games.

The Cataractes on the other hand, have been particularly good on the road as they've won six of eight -- with one of their road losses coming to the Volts.

The Voltigeurs are headed by their three-headed overage hydra in centerman Luke Woodworth (30 in 18), centerman Sam Oliver (24 in 20) and the league leader in save percentage, goaltender Riley Mercer (.936 over 13).

On top of that triple threat is Tampa Bay Lightning second round pick, right winger Ethan Gauthier who has an impressive 22 points (9+13) across 14 games thus far.

Not to be forgotten either is Buffalo Sabres fourth round defender Simon-Pier Brunet, who has already matched his point totals from last season (52) with 14 points (3+14) in just 17 games.

On the other side, the Cataractes are fronted by 2024 NHL first round pick right winger Matvei Gridin who has 17 points (7+10) over 16 games so far, with seven of his points coming during the month of November thus far.

Among the team's firepower includes joint team point leaders in right winger Felix Lacerte and Vince Elie with 22 points thus far.

In net, Shawinigan could go either way. They could choose to play the recently acquired former OHL champion in Liam Sztuska (.900 over four games so far), or roll with the hot hand in Felix Hamel (.914 save percentage) who has 10 wins across only 14 games.

Tonight's game also might mark the return of Chad Lygitsakos, who returns from the Under-17's where he put up three goals over four games, winning Silver with Team Canada Red at the tournament.

The Cataractes have lobbied themselves as contenders with the acquisition of Matvei Gridin this off-season.

If they truly want that status, they need to beat the best.
