For the fourth time this season the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada will take on the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
The Huskies come into the game with home ice advantage and having won two of their last three meetings.
The team is led by 2023-24 QMJHL point leader Antonin Verreault whose 35 points this season has him on pace for 93 points over a full 64-game season.
Another storyline of note is 2025 NHL draft eligible right winger Bill Zonnon (33 in 24) who could very well enter first round considerations thanks to his strong play this season.
He's not the only player to watch for on the Huskies in the 2025 draft as Samuel Meloche has made himself the king of the crease in Rouyn-Noranda -- posting a .906 save percentage over 21 games, with only two regulation losses.
However the most impressive prospect on the team is 2026 NHL Draft prospect Lars Steiner, the team's first round selection in the 2024 CHL Import draft, who has amassed 33 points (12+21) across 24 games in his first season. Despite the impressive play, November has been his toughest month, only scoring nine points (4+5) across nine games. The fact that a point-per-game month as an NHL draft underager is a poor month just goes to show how electric he has been this season.
On the other side, the Armada are in many ways similar to the Huskies.
They, too, have an overager having an impressive season. Theirs is Jonathan Fauchon, who has 36 points (16+20) over 24 games so far.
The Armada have two NHL draft notables as well.
Fresh off of an impressive point-per-game performance at the CHL/USA Prospects Challenge, right winger Justin Carbonneau will look to add to the 38 points (17+20) he's already collected this season.
Not too far behind him is centerman Mateo Nobert, who is third on the team in points with 32 points (13+19) -- which is third of all 2025 draft eligibles behind Carbonneau and Zonnon and tied for ninth in the entire league.
The team also boasts a top 2026 NHL draft prospect as well in defenseman Xavier Villeneuve, whose 25 points (5+20) is tied for second among all QMJHL defensemen in points.
With two of their previous three meetings boasting more than 10 goals between the two teams, one should expect some firepower at 7 PM.
