
While the Under 17s tournament may be a few months away in November, Team Canada is already gearing up for the tournament. The team just released its 79 player training camp list, which will take place from July 19th to the 23rd.
The QMJHL will be well represented at Team Canada's Under 17s selection camp, with 24 players invited to try-out.
Between the pipes, three QMJHL-affiliated prospects will fight for a roster spot, including Samuel Berthiaume (Cape Breton), Mathys Fortin (Drummondville) and Jase MacPherson (Saint John).
Five defensemen will battle for a spot on the blueline, including Top 10 draft selections in Thomas Charbonneau (Quebec) and Quinn Norman (Newfoundland), as well as Clement Landry (Gatineau), Camden Jackson (Moncton) and Julien Nadeau (Cape Breton.
As for forwards, the list is headlined by 2025 QMJHL first overall pick Alexis Joseph (Saint John), however quickly followed by second overall pick Zack Arsenault (Rimouski) and fifth overall pick Benjamin Veitch (Newfoundland).

Other forwards selected include Maxwell Branton (Rimouski), Olivier Charron (Cape Breton), Alex Desruisseaux (Quebec), Loik Garepy (Victoriaville), Louis-Etienne Halley (Gatineau), Nolann Heroux (Saint John), Alexy Lafleur (Drummondville), Deryk Lemaire (Victoriaville), Phenwick MacLean (Newfoundland), Marc MacPhee (Moncton), Emrick Nolette-Robidoux (Sherbrooke), Antoine Provencher (Charlottetown) and James Scantlebury (Quebec),
Some absent notables include third overall pick defenseman Malik L'Italien (Halifax), 15th overall pick Frederic Bergeron (Shawinigan) and 18th overall pick Jayden Pominville (Rouyn-Noranda).
