The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada have acquired overage import right winger Egor Goriunov from the Charlottetown Islanders in exchange for 2027 second, 2025 third (Rimouski) and recent 2024 third rounder, defenseman Dylan Caron.

Goriunov, 20, had 26 points (9+17) over 21 games with the Islanders this season.

The Russian winger joined the Islanders team this off-season from the Victoriaville Tigres in exchange for just a 2026 fifth round pick.

He'll take over the overage slot recently left open by the departure of star forward Jonathan Fauchon to the Rimouski Océanic earlier this week.

Additionally, Goriunov's arrival means that the team would be over the limit for import players. As such, the team has parted ways with Slovak goaltender Martin Haronik.

The 6-foot-5 goaltender amassed an .886 save percentage across five games with the team.

Instead, the team will run with 2005-goaltender Remi Delafontaine (.896 in 14) and 2025 NHL draft prospect Vincent Gladu (.905 in 15) tandem instead.
