Shawinigan has signed import Elias Matousek, and released Gleb Olkhovik.
The Shawinigan Cataractes have made a pair of corresponding moves on their import front, announcing the release of Gleb Olkhovik on Wednesday before signing Elias Matousek on Thursday.
Olkhovik, 17, played in five games with the team this year after signing over the summer, scoring once. He ended up not really finding a home on the team, and will now be looking for a new home.
Matousek, 17, was released by the Barrie Colts after recording one assist in four OHL games, likewise failing to find a roster spot over in Ontario.

With both players struggling to find a home at their last stop, the hope is their next team will give them more of a platform to succeed, rather than sitting in the press box for the majority of games.
Matousek will fill the third and final import spot on a young, rebuilding Shawinigan team, joining Petr Novozhilov and Vladimir Shtyrkhunov.
