With the impending arrival of Montreal Canadiens prospect goaltender Arseni Radkov, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada have made a move to trade backup goaltender Vincent Gladu with a seventh round pick in exchange for defenseman Zackary Plamondon.
Gladu, 18, put up a respectable .898 save percentage through 27 games with the Armada last season.
This move will allow Gladu to have the opportunity to battle for a starting job versus Donald Hickey.
Plamondon, who is being sent to the Armada, is an 18-year-old defenseman fresh off of a nine point (2+7), 53-game rookie season, who should help bolster the team's blueline depth as they hunt for a title this season.
Shawinigan Trades Goaltender Bresson To Halifax
The Shawinigan Cataractes have made a move today to deal goaltender Owen Bresson to the Halifax Mooseheads, in exchange for a third round pick.
