The Chicoutimi Saguenéens continue to round out their roster, acquiring defenseman Alexandre Desmarais from the Québec Remparts ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
Desmarais, 19, was a 10th-round pick in the 2022 QMJHL draft by the Remparts, and played his last two seasons in Québec.
The 6-foot, left-shot defenseman put up 27 (6+21) points across 55 games last season, good for sixth on the team in scoring, and second among Remparts defensemen.

The Saguenéens should hope for Desmarais to be an offensive leader from the back end for them, and potentially even take another step in terms of production.
He does not have any USports or NCAA commitments as of yet, but continued offensive production should lead to many teams down south searching for his signature.
Eagles Trade Cult Star Fullerton To Saint John
Despite an otherwise unassuming QMJHL career statline, Angelo Fullerton will go down in history in Cape Breton as one of the team's most iconic goal-scorers, having scored the overtime winner what is now dubbed 'The Midnight Marathon'—the 5OT playoff thriller against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
