The University of Vermont has secured a commitment from Cape Breton Eagles prospect left winger Samuel Boyer.
Boyer, 17, has 80 points (30+41) across 42 games with College Charles-Lemoyne Riverains of the QM18AAA league. The native of La Prairie, QC, led the entire league in points and goals. With that level of production, one can expect him to move to a stronger league for his draft year in 2025-26 before going to the NCAA.
The 5-foot-9 forward was drafted by the Eagles 56th overall in the 2024 QMJHL draft. However, as it stands now, Boyer has yet to sign with the Eagles and could very well re-enter the QMJHL draft this off-season.
