
After a four season QMJHL career, spanning 170 games, goaltender Mathis Rousseau has found a new landing spot, taking his talents to the University of Maine for the 2025/26 season.
Rousseau, 20, is coming off of a 45-game season between the Moncton Wildcats and the Halifax Mooseheads, putting up a .905 save percentage. The 5-foot-11 netminder was the Wildcats played tandem in the playoffs with Detroit Red Wings prospect Rudy Guimond, netting a .915 save percentage through 11 games before starting in the Memorial Cup, where he held a .930 save percentage over four games.

Over the course of his 170 game career, the former 2020 Halifax Mooseheads fourth round pick posted 104 wins (11th all time), maintaining a .911 save percentage through his career.
