The Halifax Mooseheads have come to terms with prospect goaltender Nick Cirka.

Cirka, 16, played 25 games with the US Prep Taft School, posting a .892 last season, but has no registered stats on EliteProspects for the 2024-25 season.

The Westmount, QC native was the Mooseheads' seventh round pick in the 2024 QMJHL draft. He joined the team for training camp this summer, but left within 48 hours to preserve NCAA eligibility.

With the recent move allowing CHL players to remain able to play Division-I college hockey after their junior career is over, Cirka was able to make the move to the 'Q' without sacrificing future prospects.

The 6-foot-2 netminder has yet to have committed to an NCAA program, and is eligible for the 2026 NHL draft.
