Some real high-end players have been named as the first six names for the second edition of the event.
The 2026-27 season is right around the corner, and on Thursday the league announced the first six players named to this year's edition of the QMJHL prospects game.
Halifax's Malik L'Italien, Saint John's Alexis Joseph and Jamie Glance, Quebec's Carter Meyer and Patrick Deniger, and Shawinigan's Vladimir Shtyrkhunov make up the top six prospects for the event, set to be held at Gatineau's Slush Puppie Centre on Oct. 28.
Last year's edition was a big success, with solid fan turnout and a good time for all the league's top prospects to showcase themselves to scouts and media alike.

Last year's crop saw two QMJHLers drafted in the first round in Maddox Dagenais and Tommy Bleyl, with Xavier Villeneuve being taken right near the start of round two.
All six of the prospects named to this team will hope to be drafted in the first round of the 2027 NHL draft, and a big season from any of them could see that be a real likelihood. In the case of Meyer and Joseph, they carry legitimate top five-to-ten prospect status.
