The few months have been busy for forward Dominic Pilote.
Coming up short in the Memorial Cup with the Rimouski Océanic at the beginning of June, he was among the many players traded from Rimouski as they dive into a full rebuild--with Pilote making his way to the Newfoundland Regiment. Now, Pilote has been able to secure his landing spot for 2026-27, committing to the University of Massachusetts of the NCAA.
Pilote, 19, had 35 points (13+22) over 62 games with the Océanic last season.

The 2022 Océanic third round pick has amassed 77 points (34+43) through 131 games in his QMJHL career so far.
