    While the November ruling allowing the NCAA to pick up CHL talent has led to a bit of a drought of commitments from major junior leagues to USports, Nipissing University has been able to pick up two players with QMJHL experience.

    Olympiques' Rookie Dube Snags NCAA Commitment To Miami Olympiques' Rookie Dube Snags NCAA Commitment To Miami 2024 Gatineau Olympiques first round pick, forward Maxim Dube, capped off a solid start to the his junior career -- scoring 15 points (5+10) across 56 games. 

    The team will add former three-season QMJHL veteran left winger Danny Akkouche and two-season defenseman Alexis Beaulac fort the 2025-26 season.

    Akkouche, 20, has been the captain of the AJHL's Fort McMurray Oil Barons this season, scoring 49 points (19+30) over 54 games after a 127 game QMJHL career amassing 35 points (8+27) between the Victoriaville Tigres, Saint John Sea Dogs and the Gatineau Olympiques.

    Beaulac, 20, was Akkouche's teammate on Fort McMurray -- donning the 'A' -- and tallying 23 points (8+15) through 53 games. He spent both of his seasons in the QMJHL with the Shawinigan Cataractes, rallying 21 points (4+17) over 118 games.
