The Gatineau Olympiques announced yesterday that they will pay tribute to former goaltender Creed Jones in a game against the Rimouski Océanic.

Jones had tragically passed away this past weekend in a motorcycle accident at the young age of 24.

He had previously played for both teams, spending the majority of his QMJHL career with the Olympiques and playing for the Océanic across two stints. He would also play with the Saint John Sea Dogs.

After his playing career, Jones became a scout for the Rimouski Océanic.

The two teams will come together to celebrate his life on September 28th, 2024 with further details of the game of the game to be announced at a later date in September, according to the Olympiques.
