The Val-d'Or star is now up to 10 points in five games.

Saturday hockey is always a blast, and the QMJHL had four games on tap for fans across the region to watch.

The stars were out to shine, including Val-d'Or's Philippe Veilleux, whose big goal helped lead to another Foreurs victory.

This one got going pretty quickly, with Nolann Heroux opening the scoring for the Foreurs seven minutes into the first. The Olympiques would respond with a quick-strike pair of goals through Gabriel Seguin and Zakary Horvat-Edouard, and would take that 2-1 lead into the intermission.

The second would be quiet on the goal scoring front, though not for a lack of chances. Both Danai Shaiikov and Arseni Radkov stood tall in goal, making 12 and 11 saves respectively in the middle frame.

Radkov was actually forced out of the game at the second intermission, meaning backup Vincent Moreau was forced to come in cold for the third as Val-d'Or needed a goal to tie things up.

Maxime Sauthier would find that equalizer just over three minutes into the third, and from there, it was survival mode for the Foreurs. Credit to Moreau, who made 15 saves in the period to keep the game tied and send it to OT.

Of course, it was Veilleux who scored in the extra frame, with a pinpoint shot that gave the home side the extra point, vaulting them atop the Western conference standings.

These teams will be right back at it on Sunday, playing the second half of this back-to-back in Val-d'Or.
