Victoriaville took down Sherbrooke, thanks in part to their new goaltender.
There was just one QMJHL game on Thursday to kick off week six of the 2026-27 campaign, but it was quite an interesting affair.
Headlining the game was the debut of Raphael Precourt in the Tigres goal, and he had a big performance to pick up his first win with his new team.

(Photo: Mathieu Perrin)Precourt's Tigres gave him an early lead to help defend, with Alexis Desroches opening the scoring just 16 seconds into the game. That lead wouldn't last long, though, as Ilya Kuzminykh tallied for the Phoenix to even the score right back up just over a minute later.
The game would settle down a bit from there, before a Thomas Desruisseaux power-play marker gave the hosts the lead back, which would hold through the first intermission.
In the second, the return of Alexey Vlasov was felt, as the Russian import put his ninth of the season home, of course with an assist from his buddy Egor Shilov. That marked the only goal of the second period, despite some Sherbrooke pressure throughout.
Vlasov would double dip early in the third, this time on the man advantage. That three-goal cushion was good, because Damien Leduc would answer quickly with his first QMJHL goal under a minute later.
From there, with over 18 minutes to go in the final frame, Precourt and his defenders locked things down, despite some more Phoenix momentum later in the period.
In the end, the debutant goaltender made 35 saves to pick up the first star of the night, and of course our player of the night as well.
