Remparts Sign Massive Free Agent Defenseman Perreault

The Quebec Remparts recently announced that they have added 6-foot-8 blueliner Alexandre Perreault.

Perreault, 19, has been playing in the OJHL with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres where he's tallied four points (2+2) across 16 games.

The Rochester Hills, NY native is the second American-born player to jump ship, to the QMJHL, following Charlottetown's Jude Herron, after the recent news permitting CHL players to retain college eligibility.

He's also the second defenseman the Remparts signed this week, with 2024 seventh rounder Alexandre Taillefer being the other.

While Perreault hasn't committed to an NCAA program yet, it's possible he could look to follow in the footsteps of his father Nicolas Perreault who went to play for Michigan State in the 1990s.

He is expected to get into his first game tomorrow as the Quebec Remparts take on the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
