The Saint John Sea Dogs are filling out their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, inking overage defenseman Alexis Daviault earlier Friday.

The Gatineau native played his last four seasons in the OHL, first with the Sarnia Sting, who drafted him in the third round of the 2021 OHL draft, and finished his Ontario career with the Erie Otters.

Daviault registered 36 (5+31) points in 64 games last season with the Otters, and put up 116 points in 259 games across his OHL career.

The 6-foot defender is not the first former OHL overager Saint John has signed in the lead up to the upcoming season, as they recently added forward Chris Barlas as well. The two veterans should add some needed leadership and depth to fill out the Sea Dogs' roster.

Daviault currently does not have any NCAA or USports commitments for 2026-27.
