It's been an up and down year for overager Olivier Houde. Struggling to produce with the Cape Breton Eagles, he was given another chance with the Victoriaville Tigres -- an opportunity, he took and ran with.

Posting a 57 points (28+29) across 64 games, 56 of which across 56 games with the Tigres, he has been able to secure a commitment from the NCAA's Lindenwood University program. Despite joining the Tigres after the season's start, his 56 points with the team ended up being the most on the team -- outscoring Elliott Simard by 12 points, who is second.

Houde, 21, finishes his QMJHL career with 162 points (77+85) across 200 QMJHL games with the Eagles and the Tigres.

His commitment marks the removal of one of the QMJHL's top remaining pro and NCAA free agents for this off-season.
