The Acadie-Bathurst Titan are in a weird spot this season. It feels as though they are rebuilding on the fly after losing out on three out of four of it's last import picks, including St. Louis Blues third rounder Juraj Pekarcik and Canadiens fifth round goaltender Mikus Vecvanags.

Their starting goaltender this season will be overager Josh Fleming who returns to the Titan after posting an .885 over 37 games last season.

Bathurst's blueline features returners in Noah Laberge (24 in 65) and Emile Perron (31 in 67).

The Titan's most notable defenders are the team's off-season additions in former Sabres prospect camp invitee, overager Francois-James Buteau (27 in 59) from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Biagio Jr. Daniele -- Bathurst's 9th overall pick in the 2024 QMJHL Draft.
Up front, the forward is features a handful of youngsters worth tracking.

2026 NHL Draft eligible centerman Louis-Francois Belanger is coming off a strong 32-point (16+16) rookie campaign. Meanwhile, left winger Liam Arsenault (18th overall, 2024) and right winger Leo Gauthier (34th overall, 2024) will look to make the jump to the QMJHL right out of the draft.

The team has some decent veterans too, namely overage centerman Colby Huggan (63 in 68) and right winger Alexandre Lallier (36 in 65).
All in all, the Titan are in an interesting spot. They lack both in star power and depth to really be a force in the league and will rely heavily on their younger talent.
I'm sure that the team will be a force in a couple of years, especially as Belanger, Daniele, Arsenault and Gauthier develop further. I just don't get the feeling that that'll be this year.
