The Rimouski Océanic have begun their selling period, trading away 2006-born defenseman Anthony Pare to the Val-d'Or Foreurs for a first round pick in 2025 (Moncton).

Pare, 18, is coming off of a 22-point (5+17) campaign with the Océanic. He'll bring playoff and Memorial Cup experience to the young Val-d'Or squad, having made the finals and being part of the host squad for last year's tournament.

Across his three seasons in Rimouski, the former 2022 15th overall pick has amassed 26 points (5+21), playing in a primarily shutdown, minute eating role.
