If we are to take anything from the career of Mathieu Cataford so far is that the sky truly is the limit. Drafted in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights, the right winger has already represented Canada internationally at the World Juniors and Hlinka-Gretzky (winning Gold), played professional games with the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights and even won QMJHL MVP last season.
However, Cataford remains one step ahead off the ice as well, studying Business Administration at Saint Mary's University while maintaining a 4.0 GPA over the course of the year. His eventual goal is to study kinesiology to open his own training centre.
As such, it is no surprise that Mathieu Cataford has won the award Marcel-Robert Trophy, after being named finalist twice before.
