Former QMJHL goaltender Olivier Rodrigue was one of the 35 NHL prospects invited to attend the NHL Players Association's rookie showcase event yesterday.
The event featured exclusive photo and video shoots with representatives from EA Sports, as well as hockey card company Upper Deck.
Rodrigue was the Oilers' sole representative at the event.
The 24-year old goaltender is coming off of a career year with the Bakersfield Condors. The former 2nd round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft posted a .916 save percentage over 37 games.
After an impressive season like that, one can wonder if Rodrigue could potentially steal the NHL backup job this pre-season from Calvin Pickard, who before last season was in and out of the NHL since 2018.
Below is a gallery of photos of Rodrigue that were taken at the event.
