UPDATE: Following the game, Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour stated that Seth Jarvis "looks all right" and that the team feels they "avoided the worst" in terms of his injury status.

"First off, that's not what you want to see, especially in a game like that where there's just nothing going on," Brind'Amour said. "We're just trying to get through it at that point. I think he looks actually all right. I don't want to say, because you never know when you wake up the next day, but I think we avoided the worst. We move on."

Carolina Hurricanes winger Seth Jarvis exited the team's Saturday afternoon game against the LA Kings early with what appeared to be a head injury.

Jarvis went hard into the endwall after Kings forward Warren Foegele bodied him down as the Canes forward attempted to power around him on a shorthanded chance early in the third period.

Jarvis went down in front of the Kings net, but his momentum carried him into the boards, where his head slammed into the wall after his initial impact.

The forward was in noticeable discomfort on the ice, but was able to skate off to the locker room under his own power.

At this time, there's no more information on Jarvis' status, but we'll provide an update should one become available.
