Ivan Ryabkin continues to impress, while Waterloo's Kaeden Hawkins helped his team to a convincing victory.

Ivan Ryabkin continues to impress in his young USHL debut. The Youngstown Phantoms get a sweep of USA’s NTDP U18 squad. These and other performances stood out in Saturday play around the league.
Ryabkin’s arrival in the USHL was met with great anticipation. So far, the 17-year-old native of Russia has not disappointed in his young debut.
Through six games with the Lumberjacks, Ryabkin has five goals and an assist for six points. He potted two goals and a helper Saturday night in Muskegon’s 8-1 rout of Team USA NTDP U17.
The Lumberjacks scored five goals in the second period to put the game out of reach.
The 5-foot-11, 201-pound left-shot center ranked third among international skaters in NHL Central Scouting’s mid-term rankings and is considered a top prospect in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Hawkins had two goals, including the eventual game-winner, in the Hawks’ 6-3 triumph over the Green Bay Gamblers.
Green Bay jumped out to an early lead, but a five-goal outburst by the Hawks put an end to that.
Brock Schultz also chipped in with two goals for Waterloo in the victory.
After Schultz tied the score 2-2, Hawkins netted the next two goals for a 4-2 lead, and the Hawks never looked back. His second goal came as both teams skated 4-on-4.
The Phantoms completed a two-game sweep of NTDP’s U18 team with a 4-2 win on Saturday.
Willson picked up two goals in the win. His first tied the game 1-1 late in the first period after firing one in from the slot.
Willson’s second goal came on a power-play in the third period, making the score 4-2 and the eventual final.
The Phantom blueliner missed the first three months of the season due to a lower-body injury. The goals gave him his first two points of the campaign, so he's already showing signs of getting back into form.
