In the 2023-2024 season, not only were the Fargo Force crowned Clark Cup champions, but they were also the winners of six different season awards including Organization of the Year.
However, this past season, Fargo is only taking home one award, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an important one.
Katie Merrick, the Vice President of Business Operations for the Fargo Force, was announced as the recipient of the Dave Tyler USHL Executive of the Year award. Starting her tenure with Fargo in 2020 as a Social Media Intern, Merrick became the Vice President of Business Operations after just two years with the team. Since then, the Fargo Force has had multiple record-breaking seasons with regard to attendance, social media interaction, and fundraising.
When asked about the award, Merrick expressed her gratitude for the recognition she is receiving around the league and within her team, stating “This is a testament to our unbelievable ownership group, staff, fans, and players we have here in Fargo… I want to thank the team executives from around the league again for this honour and can't wait to get the 2025-26 season started in September.”
