The USHL will be well-represented in the NCAA Frozen Four in Saint Paul, Minnesota

And then there were four! 

The NCAA Men's Frozen Four is just around the corner and is set to take center stage in Saint Paul, Minnesota inside the Xcel Energy Center on Thursday, April 11. The National Championship will be held on Saturday, April 13.

The Frozen Four will start with a match between No. 1-seeds Denver and Boston University, with the puck drop scheduled for 4 p.m. CT. Later in the evening, No. 1-seed Boston College and No. 3-seed Michigan will go head-to-head, with the puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.

Here is a breakdown of the matchups and USHL alumni participating in the Frozen Four.

University of Denver Vs. Boston University

Denver has won the previous four meetings against the Terriers, including in the 2016 West Regional Semifinal by a lopsided 7-2 score.

The Pioneers advanced to the 2024 Frozen Four with wins over UMass in the Northeast Regional Semifinal and Cornell in the Regional Final behind matching 2-1 scores.

Similarly, the Terriers topped RIT and Minnesota in the Sioux Falls Regional Semifinal and Final, respectively, with 6-3 final scores.

Boston College Vs. Michigan

Boston College and Michigan will meet for the first since 2014. Michigan holds the advantage with an 11-5-0 record all-time, including wins in four of the last five meetings.

The Eagles opened the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed and topped Michigan Tech in the Providence Regional Semifinal before defeating last year's champion, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, in overtime in the Regional Final.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines are the lowest seed left in the tournament. Michigan topped No. 1 seed North Dakota in the Regional Semifinal before toppling rival Michigan State in the Regional Final.
