The league's fifth annual Frosty Cup takes place in the Dallas area this weekend.

The weather in North Texas has been quite frosty in the month of January. This weekend, a different kind of frost will be in the air.

The USHL will host its fifth annual Frosty Cup from Jan. 23-26 in Dallas and Frisco, Texas.

The league returns to Dallas with the four-day event encompassing a pair of regular-season games between the Fargo Force and Tri-City Storm, as well as 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U tournaments. Every USHL team will have a scouting representative at the youth tournament.

Tri-City and Fargo will play Thursday and Friday at the Comerica Center. Puck drop for both games is at 7:05 Pm CT.

The Storm currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference at 17-15-3, 37 points. The Force are 19-12-4, good for 42 points and third place in the West.

Tri-City has won three of its last five games, while Fargo has lost four in a row, their longest skid of the season.

Thursday’s meeting is the fourth of seven scheduled games between the two teams this season. They last met in Kearney for a three-game series last November, with Fargo taking two of three.

Youth tournament games will begin Friday, Jan. 24 at 8 a.m. ET and conclude with the championship games on Sunday, Jan. 26. Click here for the complete list of teams participating.
