Medicine Hat Tigers vs Spokane Chiefs (Larry Brunt/Spokane Chiefs/WHL)

The 2025 WHL Championship Series continues on Wednesday with a pivotal Game 4 matchup. Thanks to a 6-0 victory on Tuesday, the Medicine Hat Tigers have the chance to go up 3-1 in the series, while the Spokane Chiefs will be battling to enter Game 5 tied. Based on the first three games of this series, it could be a blowout as at least three goals have decided each game.

For Medicine Hat, the biggest question mark heading into this game is Gavin McKenna's health. The 2025 WHL Player of the Year did not play in Game 3, while post-game, Head Coach Willie Desjardins would not provide an update on his availability for Game 4. While the Tigers got the job done on Tuesday, it may be difficult to win back-to-back games without McKenna in the lineup.

As for Spokane, they need to find a way to slow down Cayden Lindstrom. In three games since returning from injury, the Columbus Blue Jackets prospect has two goals and four points. If the Chiefs can keep Lindstrom off the scoresheet, it should give them a decent chance of claiming victory.

    Players To Watch:

    Shea Van Olm:

Shea Van Olm has been quiet in this series so far. While he does have three points, he has only seven shots, with five of them coming in Game 1. If he can find his scoring touch, this series very well could be tied heading into Game 5.

    Ryder Ritchie:

If McKenna is out, Medicine Hat will need a big performance from Ryder Ritchie. He has yet to record a point in the series, but is getting pucks on the net, with nine shots through three games. The Tigers brought Richie in for moments like this; now, he needs to step up and help guide his team to a 3-1 series lead.

    Series Scoring Leaders:

    Berkly Catton: 3 G, 1 A, 4 P
    Cayden Lindstrom: 2 G, 2 A, 4 P
    Hunter St. Martin: 1 G, 3 A, 4 P
    Bryce Pickford: 3 G, 3 P
    Andrew Basha: 2 G, 1 A, 3 P
