Welcome to this edition of THN's 2025 WHL Playoffs Daily Recap. This recurring article will provide summaries of action from the WHL post-season throughout the playoffs. With the conference finals underway, let's take a peek at the East and West's respective series.

Contrary to our preview, Medicine Hat showed no signs of rust in the opening game of round three. The rookie line showed up early, with Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll potting a tap-in from Markus Ruck just over two minutes into the game. Gavin McKenna extended his point streak to 50 games with a laser shot from the right circle just six seconds later, and the Tigers would not surrender the lead from there. Logan Wormald got Lethbridge on the board, but Medicine Hat added three more and skated comfortable to a game one win. There was no shortage of rough stuff near the end with nine penalties being handed out at the final buzzer, so fans have plenty to look forward to.
