Welcome to this edition of THN's 2025 WHL Playoffs Daily Recap. This recurring article will provide summaries of action from the WHL post-season throughout the playoffs. Here is a look at the two games from April 7. 

Portland Wintwehawks 4, Prince George Couagrs 2
Portland Wins Series 4-3

The Portland Winterhawks are off to the second round after an exhilarating Game 7 victory over the Prince George Cougars. Ondrej Štěbeták was a star for Portland, as he stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced during the 4-2 win. As for the series winner, that was scored by Josh Zakreski, who beat Joshua Ravensbergen midway in the third period.

Prince George: Koehn Ziemmer- 1 Shot
Prince George: Viliam Kmec- 1 Assist
Prince George: Borya Valis- 7 Shots

Everett Silvertips 1, Seattle Thunderbirds 0 (2OT)
Everett Wins Series 4-2

The Everett Silvertips punched their ticket to the second round after defeating the Seattle Thunderbirds 1-0 in Game 6. Ethan Kaplan scored the only goal of the night, which lasted 93:43. As for the goaltenders, they were both phenomenal, as Raiden LeGall made 57 saves, while Scott Ratzlaff stopped 47 of the 48 shots he faced. 

3 Stars:
Seattle: Nathan Pilling- 5 Shots
Seattle: Hayden Pakkala- 3 Shots
Seattle: Brayden Schuurman- 4 Shots
