The Medicine Hat Tigers continued their dominant playoff run on Wednesday with a 5-2 victory over the Spokane Chiefs in Game 4 of the 2025 WHL Championship Series. With the victory, the Tigers took a commanding 3-1 series lead and are just one win shy of securing a berth in the 2025 Memorial Cup. For Medicine Hat, Bryce Picford led the way with two goals and an assist, while Harrison Meneghin made 28 saves for his 13th win of the post-season.

The Tigers' win is impressive as they were missing two of their biggest stars. Gavin McKenna missed his second straight game, while Cayden Lindstrom was absent from the lineup. In the end, it was Medicine Hat's blue line that stepped up as the Tigers' defence combined for seven points.

The power play was also a major reason why Medicine Hat skated away with the victory. The Tigers went three for four with the man advantage, while on he other side, Spokane only capitalized once on four opportunities. If the Chiefs want to turn this series around, they not only have to stay out of the box but also find a way to get their power play going in Game 5.

Lastly, Meneghin deserves a shoutout for the way he played not just on Wednesday but throughout the series. After four games, he has a .925 save percentage, and has done something few others have: slow down the line of Berkly Catton, Andrew Cristall and Shea Van Olm. While Pickford will get the majority of attention when it comes to Playoff MVP, Meneghin's name should be considered, as he has been a major part of Medicine Hat's run.

The Tigers will have the opportunity to book their ticket to the 2025 Memorial Cup on Friday in Game 5. Regardless of what happens, this will be Spokane's final home game of the season, as the final two games of this series will be played in Medicine Hat. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm PT from Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
