The WHL has officially announced its award winners for the 2024-25 season. Unlike in previous seasons, no player won multiple trophies; however, numerous members of the Spokane Chiefs walked away winners. Here is a recap of who took home which awards.

Four Broncos Memorial Trophy- Gavin McKenna

Medicine Hat Tigers' Gavin McKenna was the recipient of this season's WHL Player of the Year Award. The 17-year-old recorded 41 goals and 129 points in 56 games, while also representing Team Canada at the World Juniors. McKenna also recorded a 40-game point streak during the regular season, which has now hit 53 games when including the playoffs.

    Bob Clarke Trophy- Andrew Cristall

What a season it was for Spokane Chiefs forward Andrew Cristall. The Washington Capitals prospect led the league in points with 132 in 57 games, while also becoming the first player in the 21st century to record 400 career regular-season points. Heading into the WHL Final, Cristall has 20 goals and is on pace to break the WHL record for goals in a single post-season.

Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy- Tyson Jugnauth

Portland Winterhawks' Tyson Jugnauth was named WHL Defenceman of the Year for the 2024-25 season. The Seattle Kraken prospect led all defenders with 89 points, while his 76 assists ranked third in the WHL. Jugnauth was also a star during the playoffs, recording 33 points in just 18 games.

Del Wilson Memorial Trophy- Max Hildebrand

Max Hildebrand finished off his final WHL season by being named Goaltender of the Year. The Prince Albert Raiders' keeper finished second in the league with 33 wins, while his 1713 saves were the most in the WHL. Now retired from the league, Hildebrand's 69 career regular-season victories rank third all-time in Raiders history.

Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy- Landon Dupont

2024-25 was an exceptional season from an exceptional player. With 60 points in 64 games, defenceman Landon DuPont has been named the WHL's Rookie of the Year. If DuPont can have this type of season as a 15-year-old, it is exciting to imagine what he will be capable of next year.

Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy- Berkly Catton

Chiefs captain Berkly Catton has been named the WHL's Most Sportsmanlike Player for the 2024-25 season. The Seattle Kraken forward had 30 penalty minutes in 57 games while racking up his second consecutive 100-point season. Catton is a player who leads by example both on and off the ice and is a big reason why Spokane has qualified for the WHL Final.
