A recap of this week's THN's WHL Game of the Week featuring the Wenatchee Wild and Everett Silvertips

Welcome to this week's edition of THN's WHL Game of the Week. In this segment, we break down the Game of the Week as mentioned on the latest episode of the latest episode of THN on the 'Dub. In this week's recap, we examine the Wenatchee Wild's overtime victory over the Everett Silvertips.
It didn't take long for the Silvertips to open the scoring, as just under two minutes into the first, Ben Hemmerling was able to bang home a rebound for his fourth of the season. Everett would maintain their lead until just under six minutes left in the first when Wenatchee's Luka Shcherbyna fired home a one-timer, beating Tyler Palmer for his second of the year. That would be all the scoring in the first as the teams entered the dressing room tied at one.
Despite the Silvertips outshooting the Wild 25-5 in the second, it was Wenatchee that would score twice in the middle frame. First, Miles Cooper made it 2-1 with his fourth of the season just over five minutes into the period, followed by Conor Geekie cashing in on the power play in the final minute to make it a 3-1 game. It is safe to say without the heroics of Daniel Hauser in net, this game could have gone off the rails in the second period.
Everett continued to push in the third and were finally rewarded seven minutes in, thanks to Austin Roest's sixth of the season. Then, with the net empty and the Sivertips pressing, they found an equalizer in the dying seconds. Teague Patton found the loose puck and put it past Hauser for his third of the season to send the game to overtime and the Everett crowd into a frenzy.
Despite giving up the late goal, the Wild were unfazed, ending the game 36 seconds into overtime. Kenta Isogai took advantage of a fallen Silvertips defender and beat Palmer on a breakaway, recording the first WHL overtime goal of his career. Hauser was definitely the story of the game as he made 43 saves, and the Wild picked up their seventh win and tied the season series with their U.S. Division rivals, with each team picking up an overtime win away from home.
