

Thanks to a commanding 7-0 victory over Team Sweden, Team Canada has won Gold at the 2025 IIHF U18 Men's World Championship. This year's edition featured 12 WHL players and staff members from teams across the league. With the win, Canada picked up its sixth Gold medal in tournament history and is now back-to-back champions.
In the final, quite a few WHLers stepped up for Canada. Braeden Cootes and Jackson Smith each scored a goal, while Ben Kindle recorded two assists. As for the team leader in ice time, that was Keaton Verhoeff, who logged 21:44.
The 12 players came from various teams across the league. Overall, the majority are from the B.C. Division, with the Vancouver Giants leading the way with three players. Below is a look at the 12 WHL players who skated away with a Gold medal.
