The Moose Jaw Warriors received Nathan Gardiner and three draft picks from the Calgary Hitmen.

The Calgary Hitmen added their blue line on Sunday, acquiring Minnesota Wild prospect Kalem Parker from the Moose Jaw Warriors. In return, the Warriors received 2009-born forward Nathan Gardiner, a second-round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, as well as a third and seventh-round pick in 2026. With the trade, the Hitmen now have four NHL-drafted prospects on their roster, including Carter Yakemchuk, who was a first-round pick in 2024.

Initially drafted 32nd overall by the Victoria Royals in 2019, Parker played a key role in helping Moose Jaw make it to last year's Memorial Cup. Parker brings 239 regular season games of WHL experience to Calgary, plus an additional 20 from the postseason. In 19 games so far this season, Parker has 12 points, along with 18 penalty minutes.

As for Gardiner, he was a sixth-round pick by the Hitmen in 2024. In 15 games this season with the Regina Pat Canadians U18 AAA, Gardiner has four goals and ten points. The 15-year-old is not yet signed to a WHL contract.
