The Everett Silvertips added to their forward depth on Saturday, acquiring Jaxsin Vaughan from the Regina Pats. In exchange, the Silvertips sent a 2025 first-round pick and forward Caden Brown to the Pats. The trade is the third by Regina this week and the first by Everett since September.

Drafted 21st overall by the Pats in 2021, Vaughan has 37 points in 137 games at the WHL level. This season, he has two goals and seven points in 16 games and was part of Regina's leadership group before being traded. Listed at 6'1", 201 lbs, Vaughan is a physical winger who never misses an opportunity to throw a hit along the boards.

As for Brown, he has spent the last two seasons with the Silvertips. Initially drafted 17th overall by the Prince George Cougars in 2020, Brown has played 184 WHL games, recording 37 goals and 82 points. Through 14 games this season, Brown has scored four goals while recording eight points.
