The 2024 CHL USA Prospects Challenge will take place on November 26 and 27.

Team CHL has named its coaching staff for the first-ever CHL USA Prospects Challenge. Leading the charge will be Kelowna Rockets Head Coach Kris Mallette, who will be accompanied by Gordie Dwyer and Ryan Oulahen. The new prospect event is scheduled for November 26 and 27, with the games happening in London and Oshawa, Ontario.
Mallette has been with the Rockets organization since 2014 and became their Head Coach during the 2019-20 season. During his time with Kelowna, he has helped develop many NHL prospects, including Andrew Cristall, Tij Iginla, and Kaedan Korczak. Malette was also behind the bench as an assistant coach during the Rockets' run to the Memorial Cup in 2015, where they fell in overtime to the Oshawa Generals in the Final.
In addition to his success in the WHL, Mallette has helped Canada win three straight Gold medals at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. While he was an assistant coach for the first two events, he was the Head Coach this past summer, helping Canada finish the tournament with a perfect record. As the majority of the players from the event will be playing in the 2024 CHL USA Prospects Challenge, this feels like a good match, as Mallette has a proven track record of helping these prospects win.
