The Medicine Hat Tigers, Prince George Cougars, and Brandon Wheat Kings all make their way into the top ten.

The Canadian Hockey League has released their first regular season edition of Power Rankings, and three WHL teams have made the cut; two remain from the pre-season, and one newcomer.

Medicine Hat Tigers (1 --> 2)
Alberta's projected favourite to host the 2026 Memorial Cup moves down one spot, but has still had a very strong start to the season. Significantly outshooting their opponents, the Tigers have gotten scoring from key depth pieces that have stepped up in place of NHL campers. Now that those players have since returned, expect Medicine Hat to improve even more.
Prince George Cougars (7 --> 5)
Moving up two spots is Prince George, and for good reason. Forward Jett Lajoie is off to a strong start, as is 2025 NHL Draft hopeful Joshua Ravensbergen, the latter making some huge saves en route to a victory over the Kelowna Rockets on Friday. In the midst of a five-game road trip, the Cougars have a tough test ahead of them, with three contests in four nights.
Brandon Wheat Kings (Not Ranked --> 10)
Brandon replaces the Kelowna Rockets from the pre-season list, and so far it's been the Roger McQueen show. The 17-year-old leads all WHL skaters in points with nine so far, and shows no signs of slowing down. Helping him out on this run is Marcus Nguyen and Nolan Flamand, with six points each en route to a 3-1 record to start the season.
