
Liam Ruck Selected 22nd Overall By The Pittsburgh Penguins In The 2026 NHL Entry Draft
Liam Ruck is headed to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Liam Ruck has been selected 22nd by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. The Medicine Hat Tigers right winger was ranked 20th among North American Skaters by NHL Central Scouting. This season, Ruck scored 45 goals while posting 104 points in 68 games.
Ruck finished the campaign as the second-highest scorer in the entire CHL. Listed at 6'0", 176 lbs, he was one of four players across the four leagues to record over 100 points, while his 45 ranked tied for seventh in the CHL. Next year, Ruck is scheduled to return to the WHL and will be looking for his second-straight 100-point season.
