Riley Heidt has once again made history. On Saturday night, the Minnesota Wild prospect became the first player in Prince George Cougars' franchise history to hit the 300-point mark. Heidt's 300th point came via a goal in the third period, beating Royals goaltender Jayden Kraus to hit the milestone.

Now in his fifth WHL season, Hedit is already up to 20 points through his first 11 games. He is once again on pace to surpass the 100-point mark this season, which would make him the first player in franchise history to hit the century mark multiple times. Heidt is also closing in on the Cougars' all-time goal lead, needing 28 to pass Chase Witala's 120.

In addition to his strong play in the WHL, Heidt is projected to play for Team Canada at this year's World Juniors. He has already won multiple medals with Canada, including a Gold at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in 2022. This year's tournament is scheduled to begin on December 26 and will take place in Ottawa.
