The Swift Current Broncos are getting active on draft day, dealing two skaters to the Brandon Wheat Kings for a very lucrative package.
Departing the Broncos are forward Luke Mistelbacher and defender Grayson Burzynski, both career members of Swift Current. Mistelbacher had gone undrafted, but put in over three seasons of work with the Broncos, putting up 162 points in 190 games. The latter, Burzynski, was taken in the second round in 2020 and logged 233 games with the franchise.

In return, Swift Current receives the following assets:
2025 1st (15th overall)
2025 Brandon 2nd
2027 Brandon 3rd
2028 Brandon 3rd
2028 Brandon 6th
F Alex Letourneau ('09)
Letourneau is a product of the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers of the AEHL, logging 19 points in 38 games with the Rangers U18 AAA program.
In a separate move, the Broncos then dealt the 15th overall pick they received from Brandon to the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for the 22nd overall pick and one draft pick each in rounds four and five of the 2025 draft.
