Everett has named two co-captains and four assistant captains to their roster following opening weekend.

The Silvertips have a loaded core of leaders for 2024-25.

Taking the lead for Everett are co-captains Kaden Hammell and Eric Jamieson, and donning the "A" is a list consisting of defenceman Tarin Smith, as well as forwards Carter Bear, Beau Courtney, and former Medicine Hat Tigers captain Tyler MacKenzie.

This is not the first time Everett has had a pair sharing the captaincy; in fact, it's almost become a trend. Since the 2020-21 season, the Silvertips have named dual leaders in four of five years, the latest being Austin Roest and Ben Hemmerling in 2023-24.

“There’s a lot of guys that bring leadership to the room,” said Hammell, in a media release. “Having the C is super cool, it’s cool moment. The biggest thing is making sure everybody’s comfortable and having fun this year. We’ve got a pretty good team, so we want to make sure that we’re super competitive but having fun on and off the ice.”

Jamieson also commented, saying he looked up to players like Roest and Hemmerling, noting he wants to lead by example and "show the other guys the Tips way."

Hammell, Jamieson, and the rest of the Silvertips leadership group will make their debut on Saturday, Sept. 28 in Everett when they take on the Portland Winterhawks.
