Show of hands, how many of you have heard of Gavin McKenna?

If, for whatever reason, you haven't, you definitely will have now.

Friday night, the Medicine Hat Tigers star reached 200 WHL career points- doing so in just 118 games. This puts him firmly behind Connor Bedard (203 in 107, 2023) and Pavel Brendl (200 in 96, 1999) for the fastest player to that mark in WHL history and McKenna would go on to add a second point on Friday to put him up to 201 during a 7-2 victory against the Portland Winterhawks.

The win also marks 12 straight victories for Medicine Hat, matching the Tri-City Americans' mark for longest win streak of the 2024-25 season. Additionally, the records keep coming for McKenna as he extends his point streak to 25 games, and recording 57 points (17 goals and 40 assists) in that span.
