

The Czech Ice Hockey Federation announced their finalized roster for the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup on Monday, and on that list are two members of the WHL.
Forward Vít Záhejský will be representing Kamloops Blazers, and entering his first season of North American hockey in 2024-25. A native of Plzen, Záhejský collected 39 points in 42 games for HC Energie Karlovy Vary in Czech U20 as well as 9g-3a-12p in five games for the U17 program.
Between the pipes, goaltender Ondřej Štěbeták enters of behalf of the Portland Winterhawks. Similar to Záhejský, the Jihlava product will be playing his first North American season with the Winterhawks. Over 37 games with HC Dukla Jihlava U17 last season, Štěbeták posted a .903 save percentage as well as a .911 in international competition over 17 contests.
The Hlinka Gretzky Cup is slated for August 5-10 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alta.
