In the final ranking before the holiday break, the Canadian Hockey League updated their top 10 and two WHL clubs remain in the running for the top spot.
Everett Silvertips (2 --> 3)
All Hail Everett.
Far and away the most consistently dominant team all season, the Silvertips still control a nine-point lead over second place in the entirety of the WHL. 2025 NHL Draft prospect Carter Bear has put together a nine-game point streak for himself, tallying 19 points during that span. In addition, goaltender Jesse Sanche holds the league-best goals against average by a considerable margin (2.21).
Spokane Chiefs (9 --> 8)
While the Chiefs' winning streak was cut short on Saturday at 10 games, it's still an impressive feat. Spokane is without captain Berkly Catton for the forseeable future due to the World Junior Championships, but many players have replaced that production. Shea Van Olm has had a breakout season, totalling 45 points in 31 games this season. The Chiefs open the return to play with three games in four nights, so their fortitude will be tested after the loss.
