Welcome to this edition of the 2025 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2025 off-season, we will be taking a look at current or recently graduated WHLers who have either been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Chicago Blackhawks, which has two WHLers in its prospect pool.

During the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, the Blackhawks added two more WHLers to their organization. The first was Kamloops Blazers' Nathan Behm in the third round, followed by Seattle Thunderbirds' Ashton Cumby in the sixth round. Overall, Chicago has done a good job of adding WHL talent over the years, including notable alums such as Connor Bedard, Kevin Korchinski, and Colton Dach.

Starting with Behm, he had a year to remember in Kamloops. The 18-year-old winger recorded 66 points in 59 games, which ranked second on the Blazers. Listed at 6'2", 203 lbs, Behm is scheduled to return to the WHL next season.

As for Cumby, he is a physical defenceman who never shy's away from standing up for his teammates. In 68 games, he recorded 13 points along with 102 penalty minutes. Listed at 6'5", 212 lbs, do not be surprised if Cumby is among the league leaders in penalty minutes next season.
