Welcome to this edition of the 2025 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2025 off-season, we will be taking a look at current or recently graduated WHLers who have either been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Nashville Predators, which has five WHLers in its prospect pool.

The Predators have stockpiled quite a few WHLers in their system. They drafted Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman Tanner Molendyk, Red Deer Rebels forward Kalan Lind and Everett Silvertips forward Austin Roest in 2023 before adding Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Miguel Marques and Kelowna Rockets forward Hiroki Gojsic in 2024. Nashville's AHL team also has a connection to the WHL, as Tigers captain Oasiz Wiesblatt signed with the Milwaukee Admirals for the upcoming season.

Starting with Molendyk, he recently wrapped up what was an impressive WHL career. The 20-year-old played 238 regular-season games during his career, recording 160 points while also helping Medicine Hat qualify for the 2025 Memorial Cup Final. Listed at 6'0", 181 lbs, there is a good chance that Molendyk plays NHL games this season.

Next up is Lind, who has developed into a physical wrecking ball. The 20-year-old spent his entire WHL career with Red Deer, recording 160 points in 202 regular-season games. Listed at 6'1", 163 lbs, Lind will be given plenty of opportunities to impress next year in the AHL.

The last WHLer from the 2023 draft is Roest, who leaves the WHL as a Silvertips legend. The 21-year-old recorded 196 points in 210 games and is one of 10 players in franchise history to record over 100 assists in their career. Listed at 5'10", 181 lbs, Roest should play an important role for Milwaukee in 2025-26.

As for the 2024 draft class, Marques has developed into a very intriguing prospect. The 19-year-old recorded 38 points in 29 games during the regular season last year before producing 17 points in 16 playoff games. Listed at 5'11", 185 lbs, Marques will be headed to the University of Maine next season.

Last but certainty not least is Gojsic who has had a successful career with the Rockets. The 19-year-old has played 129 regular-season games in which he has produced 87 points. Listed at 6'3", 209 lbs, Gojsic is projected to make the jump to the AHL next season.
