The Blades GM spoke on the stresses of the deadline, the state of the team, and what to expect going forward.

With less than seven days until thew 2025 WHL trade deadline, THN had an opportunity to sit down with general manager/co-owner Colin Priestner, to discuss plans moving forward as well as where the team is at right now.

Since taking over the general manager position in the 2016-17 season, Priestner has been part of a group that has drafted the likes of Tanner Molendyk (Nashville Predators) Evan Gardner (Columbus Blue Jackets) and Brandon Lisowsky (Toronto Maple Leafs).

The London, Ont. native says that this year may focus on restocking the draft pick cupboard, as well as assessing where the team is relative to its updated expectations.
